Google AdWords advertisers will now have access to a self-service site optimization tool that helps them determine what content works best to sell their products.
Starting today, Google is inviting a small number of advertisers enrolled in their AdWords program to test out the Google Site Optimizer tool. The site owners can generate detailed reports about their pages that are aimed at helping identify what types of content — headlines, images and marketing copy — helps sell products and what types of content causes confusion, obfuscation and a speedy exit.

Google has teamed up with Optimost, a company that specializes in multivaraible website testing, to develop the optimization tool. Optimost’s clients include Overstock.com, Time-Life and Hallmark.
